Your cookie settings
Loading your saved preferences…
Strictly necessary
Keeps the site working: remembering this very preference, and letting you sign in and pay securely. It is never used to profile you and never leaves our providers.
First-party localStorage on this domain, plus session cookies set by Firebase when you are signed in.
Always onProduct analytics
Aggregate counts of which pages get read and which buttons get pressed, so we know what to fix. Cookie-free, no fingerprinting, and never linked to your account or shared with anyone.
Self-hosted Umami on analytics.helloworldtech.com. Sets no cookies at all. Switching this off stops the script loading — immediately, not on your next visit.
Your choice is stored in this browser only — it does not travel with your account, so a different browser or device starts from the defaults again. Clearing site data resets it too.
1. What a cookie is, and what we mean by one
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Related technologies do the same job by other means — localStorage keeps data in your browser until it is cleared, and session storage forgets it when you close the tab.
This policy covers all of them, because the distinction matters to engineers and not to you. Where we say “cookie” below, we mean anything stored on your device by this website.
2. What we actually use
The complete list. If something is not in this table, this website does not store it on your device.
| What | Type | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
apexgym.consent.v1 | localStorage — strictly necessary | Remembers your choice on this page. Without it we would have to ask again on every visit, which is the behaviour everyone hates. | Until you clear site data |
| Firebase authentication | localStorage — strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in where the site offers a signed-in feature, so you are not asked for your password on every page. | Until you sign out |
| Umami analytics | No storage at all — optional | Counts page views and button clicks in aggregate so we can tell which pages are working. It sets nothing on your device; it is listed here only so this table is genuinely complete. | n/a |
3. What we don't use
Stated explicitly, because “we value your privacy” means nothing without a list of what is absent:
- No advertising cookies. We sell no ad space and buy no retargeting.
- No social media pixels. No Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag.
- No Google Analytics and no Google Tag Manager.
- No fingerprinting. We do not build a device signature to recognise you without storage.
- No data sold or shared with brokers — including as “sale” and “sharing” are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act.
- No cross-site tracking. Nothing you do here is visible to another site, and nothing you did on another site is visible to us.
4. Third parties that can set storage
Three, all of them doing a job the site cannot do without, and none of them advertising companies:
- Google Firebase
- Authentication and database, for signed-in features. Stores a session token so you stay signed in. No advertising identifiers are involved.
- Umami (self-hosted)
- Analytics on infrastructure we run ourselves, at
analytics.helloworldtech.com. Cookie-free, and the data never leaves our servers or reaches a third party. - Nobody else
- No other third party can set or read storage on this domain. If that changes, this policy changes first — see Changes.
5. The mobile app
The ApexGym mobile app is not a browser and does not use cookies. It stores your login session and your app settings on the device so you are not signed out between uses, and that is all.
There is no advertising SDK and no advertising identifier in the app. What the app collects — and what your coach can see — is set out in full in the Privacy Policy. To remove everything stored on the device, sign out or delete the app; to erase your account data, use Profile → Delete account.
6. How to control it
6.1 On this site
Use Your cookie settings at the top of this page. Switching analytics off takes effect at once — the tracker is removed from the page you are on, not merely flagged to be skipped next time.
Your choice is kept in this browser, so it does not follow you to another device or to a private window, and clearing site data resets it to the default. There is no account setting for it, because we deliberately do not tie the preference to an identity.
6.2 In your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for a site — usually under Privacy or Site settings. Blocking strictly-necessary storage will break signing in and paying, which is a legitimate choice as long as you know that is the trade.
6.3 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour Global Privacy Control in the only way that is meaningful here: we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, from anyone, whether or not a signal is sent. There is no advertising profile of you to opt out of.
7. Changes to this policy
If we add anything that stores data on your device, we will update this policy and the effective date above before it goes live, and the table in section 2 will list it. Material changes are announced by email or in the app at least 30 days ahead, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Contact us
Questions about anything here, or about what we hold on you generally — write to us and a person will answer.
